Cd shops in Beijing

Where could I find good cd shops in Beijing? I mean decent places to find rock music. My plan is to buy some 20-30 albums when I go to China may or june next year Like Cui Jian, Zi Yue, Shou ren, Zhang Chu, He Yong, Baojiajie 43 hao.. the list is too long

check out this brief piece on that's beijing's website regarding some of the better places for chinese rock cds in beijing. i have found that kunming has a great selection of chinese rock; i bought 50 cds each of the past two times i was in kunming.

Cuijian's rock is really good stuff(best in China I think), and you should be able to find it in lots of CD shops.

you will only be able to find cui jian's rock n roll on the new long march and power of the powerless. solution and balls under the red flag are impossible to find on cd in china.

I have "rock n' roll on the new long march", a friend bought it for me in Beijing, and i've never really liked "power of the powerless" that much.. so those two albums, the ones that you said are impossible to find, are the cui jian albums i'm on the look for.. but oh well, i'm sure i'll find some of the many cds i've on my list in Beijing

Look out for Cds by Tang Dynasty and Chao Zai (Overload) too! They are great!

balls under the red flag is known to turn up in places like singapore, malaysia, and maybe hk.

oh yeah, cui jian's greatest hits collection 1986-1996 should also be readily available in beijing.

I actually quite like the Power of the Powerless.

A good thing about Cuijian is that none of his four albums does not have a change of style.

for CDs better go the the Xin Jie Kou Street (it the north west part of the inner city), there you will find many CD Shops and Music Stores. There you will find anything about chinese rock but I cant garanty you wont get a piracy copy....
