BeijingSlacker Posted September 28, 2004 at 08:19 AM Report Posted September 28, 2004 at 08:19 AM Cuijian's rock is really good stuff(best in China I think), and you should be able to find it in lots of CD shops. Quote
niubi Posted September 28, 2004 at 10:17 AM Report Posted September 28, 2004 at 10:17 AM you will only be able to find cui jian's rock n roll on the new long march and power of the powerless. solution and balls under the red flag are impossible to find on cd in china. Quote
Vellu Posted September 28, 2004 at 12:29 PM Author Report Posted September 28, 2004 at 12:29 PM I have "rock n' roll on the new long march", a friend bought it for me in Beijing, and i've never really liked "power of the powerless" that much.. so those two albums, the ones that you said are impossible to find, are the cui jian albums i'm on the look for.. but oh well, i'm sure i'll find some of the many cds i've on my list in Beijing Quote
Catdiseased Posted September 28, 2004 at 02:21 PM Report Posted September 28, 2004 at 02:21 PM Look out for Cds by Tang Dynasty and Chao Zai (Overload) too! They are great! Quote
niubi Posted September 28, 2004 at 05:51 PM Report Posted September 28, 2004 at 05:51 PM balls under the red flag is known to turn up in places like singapore, malaysia, and maybe hk. oh yeah, cui jian's greatest hits collection 1986-1996 should also be readily available in beijing. Quote
BeijingSlacker Posted September 29, 2004 at 01:01 AM Report Posted September 29, 2004 at 01:01 AM I actually quite like the Power of the Powerless. A good thing about Cuijian is that none of his four albums does not have a change of style. Quote
painkillermag Posted June 18, 2005 at 07:07 PM Report Posted June 18, 2005 at 07:07 PM for CDs better go the the Xin Jie Kou Street (it the north west part of the inner city), there you will find many CD Shops and Music Stores. There you will find anything about chinese rock but I cant garanty you wont get a piracy copy.... Quote
