New Members hst19 Posted July 31, 2010 at 07:31 PM New Members Report Posted July 31, 2010 at 07:31 PM Hi everyone! I'm looking for some information about Chinese government scholarships. I tried to find out from the CSC website and tried doing a search, but couldn't find exactly what I wanted to know. I hope you can help. What I'd like to know is whether a foreign student can apply for a CSC undergraduate scholarship after entering China and starting studies at a Chinese university. I've received admission docs from a university in China and I'll probably be going at the end of August. I applied for admission to the university in a hurry after the CSC deadlines (stupid of me ) because I didn't have my heart set on Chinese colleges at first. It would be great if I can apply for the scholarship next year. Do you think this can be done? If so, would I have to go back to my native country (Sri Lanka) and submit an application to the Chinese embassy there? Or can I apply for scholarship inside China? Thanks! Quote
Brian US Posted August 1, 2010 at 04:11 PM Report Posted August 1, 2010 at 04:11 PM There is a very detailed sticky at the top of this forum that has everything that is known about the CSC scholarship. To answer your questions quickly, you can apply for the scholarship but only by sending the application to your home country's Chinese embassy(Sri Lanka). This can be done by mail, so you don't need to go home. The deadline has passed for this year and varies by what region of the world you are in. Quote
