I dont have to really tell u why..

You don't, but people will be more inclined to help you if they know the context and what you are having a problem with in particular.

Translating takes more time than simply understanding, and there is a danger of getting things wrong in the translation, so people tend to avoid translating longer pieces of text unless they know what it's for.

The text is a short introduction by a (half-)Chinese person who came to Australia while very young, and lives in Sydney. The rest is a summary of his/her hobbies. Probably something from a chatroom. A more detailed translation would take more time.

I wasn't born in Australia. I came from China when I was little. I can speak Chinese because my mom is Chinese.

我周末喜欢去俱乐部游泳, 我也喜欢去大学打网球.

I like to go swimming at the club on the weekends. I also like to play tennis at the university.

Every Saturday afternoon I go the market to buy food, and every Saturday evening I cook at home, listen to music, and read a book. On my free time, I like to go to Sydney for fun. When I'm in Sydney, I like to visit Chinatown, Hyde Park, and Darling Harbor. I also like to see my friends in Sydney, and I like to listen to music with them.

ma3zi1, thank you for providing me with translation.

And for those who commented on this topic, the only reason I was asking why he needs to know all the time is because when I tried to ask before for translation, skylee already asked me why.. and this is the third time which is a bit upsetting.

I came here for help but I guess not all of you are helpful... So thank you very much for the time. this is the last time I will be asking for help here.

There, there! You came here for help and people sometimes needed to know the context for a better / appropriate translation for what you asked. At least you've got help and answer from a member. I did ask for help without any answer / feedback so far but I won't call all the other members not helpful, for they helped me with the other questions I asked.

Look, if you don't want to pay a professional translator to translate your essays for you and instead want people on the internet to do it for free, you should be able to handle a question like "what do you need it for?" :rolleyes:

I still don't understand why the OP said that I asked him/her why before. As far as the records show, the OP has posted on five threads and I have not asked why on the other four threads. Have I missed something?

@skylee

Please seriously take what jbradfor said to heart. The OP does not appear to appreciate that this forum is neither a free, nor an on-demand, translation site but rather a community of folks with some common interests who are willing to help each other as they are so inclined (or not).

Personally, I think the OP should be sent an invoice for services rendered.;)

I wasn't born in Australia, but I came here from China when I was little. However, I can speak Chinese since my mother is Chinese. On the weekend, I like to go swimming at the aquatic centre as well as playing tennis on uni campus. Every Saturday afternoon I go grocery shopping shopping at the markets and in the evenings, I cook, listen to music and read books at home. In my spare time I like going to Sydney to hang out. I particularly enjoy going to Chinatown, Hyde Park and Darling Harbour. Whilst in Sydney, I also like to visit my friends and listen to music with them.

Hope this helps. :)
