yjs666 Posted August 28, 2010 at 11:39 PM Report Posted August 28, 2010 at 11:39 PM Hi guys, I'm interested in hearing people's opinions regarding going to China (Beijing in particular) to study Chinese intensively for a few months. A bit of background, I left China when I was 8 years old and have been more or less maintaining my Chinese skills. Currently I would assume that my Chinese reading and speaking skills are equivalent to that of a Chinese primary school graduate, but my writing is poor (due to pinyin IME). Would like to know if there are any suitable courses in China for overseas Chinese like myself, and if anyone has been in or are in a similar situation. I really regret not putting in more effort in studying Chinese when I was younger. Thanks! Quote

Brian US Posted August 29, 2010 at 03:47 PM Report Posted August 29, 2010 at 03:47 PM What do you want to use Chinese for? I have heard of native speakers learning different accents. Quote
Scoobyqueen Posted August 29, 2010 at 04:53 PM Report Posted August 29, 2010 at 04:53 PM The BLI school in Beijing has a lot of overseas Chinese students. The ones I have spoken to appear quite satisfied with the teaching. This is one-to-one tuition though if that is what you are looking for. Quote
