New Members Lyzzielynn Posted September 1, 2010 at 04:50 AM New Members Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 at 04:50 AM I'm thinking about getting a chinese name for my chinese class, and my teacher gave me two characters, feng, which means the phoenix and something else which means water. But after scrambling around some sites for a while I realised that feng is a very old-fashioned name and I don't really like the name with the word water. Personal reasons, actually. So, I need some help. Can anyone suggest some good chinese name for me? Thanks!
CrisPal Posted September 1, 2010 at 07:43 AM Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 at 07:43 AM But what is your English name?
doraemon Posted September 1, 2010 at 08:33 AM Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 at 08:33 AM There are honestly too many to pick from. Do you prefer two character names or three character ones (including surnames)? From your username Lyzzielynn, I think your Chinese name could be something like 林丽姿, which would be a girl's name (means something like 'beautiful appearance'). Clarie Posted September 1, 2010 at 11:45 PM Report Share Posted September 1, 2010 at 11:45 PM @ Mazi Thanks! I'm working on figuring what they meant right now! @Doraemon What are the meaning of those names?!? I searched in the dictionary and couldn't find their meanings! I also got some suggestions from a friend, and she said 诗永, 诗烨 and 诗玮. Do you think those are good names? I don't have ANY experience at all in this field! I mean, I was some great, unique and poetic name. But it's really hard to figured it out when you don't speak Chinese! Thanks in advance!
