yonglan Posted October 3, 2004 at 06:12 PM Report Posted October 3, 2004 at 06:12 PM Can someone here tell me what happened with A-Mei in China earlier this summer? A few weeks ago I read something that referred to her "being humiliated by fans in China" earlier in the summer, but my searches did not turn up any news. Do you know? Got a URL with good info? Quote
skylee Posted October 3, 2004 at 11:57 PM Report Posted October 3, 2004 at 11:57 PM This may be relevant -> http://www.takungpao.com/news/2004-6-15/EP-271826.htm Quote

liuzhou Posted October 4, 2004 at 01:51 PM Report Posted October 4, 2004 at 01:51 PM I don't know about her being 'humiliated' but there was some issue about her being banned from performing on the mainland because she had sung the Taiwan 'national anthem' at at the inauguration of President Chen Shui-bian. I seem to remember than the ban was lifted but there may have been an amount of fallout. Quote
