Quakebum Posted September 2, 2010 at 01:21 AM Report Posted September 2, 2010 at 01:21 AM We bought a tablet in china over the summer for writing chinese on the computer, but when we got home to install the character writing program, it said it needed a chinese version of windows. I've tried using Window 7's writing IME, but it isn't very intuitive. What is a good paid or free software for converting hand written characters to computer text using a tablet (wacom knock-off)? gato Posted September 2, 2010 at 03:38 AM Report Posted September 2, 2010 at 03:38 AM Try this. I've tried it once or twice before, and it worked pretty well. http://www.skycn.com/soft/21284.html 飘雪智能手写辨识系统 V3.0 There are some other recommendations in this thread: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/12008-character-recognition-tool/ Quote
feihong Posted September 2, 2010 at 01:21 PM Report Posted September 2, 2010 at 01:21 PM Buy an iPod Touch or an iPad. Both come with Chinese handwriting support. Although, for some reason the iPad still doesn't support traditional Chinese (but the iPod does). Quote
