就拿。。来说吧

This sentence pattern was presented in class the other day and I must have tired or daydreaming or something because I can't figure it out and it should be pretty straightforward--I'm only an intermediate student.

Here are some example sentences:

这次考试太难了， 拿我们班来说吧， 五个人报名，四个没考上。

我们班的课堂气氛特别活跃，拿口语课来说吧，大家都争着发音。

Could someone help me understand the construction? Many thanks.

sentence 1(to give a conclusion),拿......来说吧（take ... for example），sentence 2(to explain example)

E.g. 我们班的同学学习都很努力，拿小王来说吧，他每天都学到十二点。
