XiaoMa Posted October 6, 2004 at 01:56 PM Report Posted October 6, 2004 at 01:56 PM Hello does anyone here know (online) materials, stories in chinese that use limited character counts (i.e. HSK Levels) ? Just for reading enhancement. Reading boring dialogues about what you ate at lunch and taxi bills is boring, isn't it ? Websites? Suggestions? Thank you for your help Xiaoma Quote
WangYuHong Posted October 6, 2004 at 05:57 PM Report Posted October 6, 2004 at 05:57 PM http://www.umich.edu/%7Edporter/sampler/sampler.html This is a list of online Chinese works, and it has difficulty levels to rate each reading. I don't really know how it quantifies the difficulty, however. Most of it seems to be geared towards intermediate reading. 1.0 is for the first 300 most frequent characters 2.0 is for the first 800 most frequent and most of the works seem to be around 2.0 and beyond... Since I'm still a beginner, I haven't found this list very useful yet, but perhaps somebody else will get more use out of it! Quote
