So I've been wearing this shirt for like a year now...

And I have no idea what it says, which is alittle dumb. It was a gift from my father, from his last business trip to China, and he sure didn't bother to ask what it meant. -.-

The picture isn't optimal (the rightmost characters is hard to read), I can provide a better picture later,

but I'd appriciate anyone who could provide clarity to what I am declaring to the world, when I'm wearing this shirt.

The big white character at the top is 爱(read as ai, at a fourth note) and it means 'love', as to the little words on the bottom, it seems to be a sentence or a poem. I can't see the entire thing, but it seems to be preaching compassion or something of the sort. Why don't you lay the shirt on a table and give us a better look at the bottom words?

The top characters is 愛, like already pointed out.

The bottom is written in cursive script, and suffers from the quality of the printing. Cursive is usually used for decorative writing nowadays, and not everybody can read it. I can make out about half of the characters, but not more. I agree that it's likely a poem, read vertically from right to left.

Perhaps a native speaker can be more helpful.

The small print goes like 仁爱之心人皆有之 爱无处不在无处不有??(Can not read this two characters. Probably a name. Someone with better understanding of calligraphy may be able to help.)龙年之春于京. And it seems that you've posted exactly the same photo twice?

Darn, Outofin beat me to it.

It's a bit difficult to make out, especially the characters to the very left, but starting from the top right, reading down and then right to left, I have:

仁愛之心 人皆有之 愛無處不在 無處不有

Darn, Outofin and xiaocai beat me to it.
