abcdefg Posted November 6, 2010 at 01:09 AM Report Posted November 6, 2010 at 01:09 AM Very weak tea. Very, very weak tea. 3 Quote
roddy Posted November 6, 2010 at 11:05 AM Report Posted November 6, 2010 at 11:05 AM Do you seriously expect to impress anyone on here with a generic ebook / newsletter get-rich-quick marketing page, with any 'information' hidden behind a gimmie-your-email button? Best feedback I can give you is 'stop'. 4 Quote
Erbse Posted November 6, 2010 at 11:57 AM Report Posted November 6, 2010 at 11:57 AM Is it really this easy to get peoples emails? I should start a China Guide myself then. Quote
roddy Posted November 6, 2010 at 12:01 PM Report Posted November 6, 2010 at 12:01 PM Well, I've got 40,000 or so . . . which are absolutely not for sale 4 Quote
abcdefg Posted November 6, 2010 at 05:08 PM Report Posted November 6, 2010 at 05:08 PM I used a disposable e-mail address and actually had a look at the video. Amateurish and uninformative. Designed for idiots and/or suckers. A complete waste of my time. Here's the link. See what you think. http://www.yourguidetochina.com/thankyou.html I realize the author is just trying to make a buck and feed his family. I understand those motives, but would suggest he just get an honest job instead. This whole project is extremely close to being a scam. It stinks. Steve Hubbard, you should be ashamed. Quote

Brian US Posted November 7, 2010 at 02:01 AM Report Posted November 7, 2010 at 02:01 AM I didn't think the intro video was very good, but then again it is only an intro video. I tried to keep an open mind with this not being a marketing ploy. Yet, after the OP said he was helping a friend and now all I see is his face and name on the website I'm not convinced. Quote
Brian US Posted November 7, 2010 at 05:35 AM Report Posted November 7, 2010 at 05:35 AM Well, I've got 40,000 or so . . .which are absolutely not for sale I'm waiting to get messages from Roddy when he starts selling scented candles. Quote
Erbse Posted November 7, 2010 at 11:28 AM Report Posted November 7, 2010 at 11:28 AM I think there is a certain "everything must be for free on the web" attitude around. Clearly this offer is to make money, which I think is fair. Everyone makes money in some way. The only thing that is annoying here, that the thread starter didn't mention it is to make money. For me giving away my email counts as paying. 1 Quote

马盖云 Posted November 7, 2010 at 10:18 PM Report Posted November 7, 2010 at 10:18 PM "Do not be afraid of Chiiinahhh!" There it is, folks! Why was this a video and not an audio file? How many TCP/IP packets had to die so I could look straight into this guy's eyes for 10 minutes? Quote
sthubbar Posted November 8, 2010 at 10:53 AM Author Report Posted November 8, 2010 at 10:53 AM Everyone, Thanks for the honest feedback. I even learned a new ChengYu. Quote
