Dream of a radio for listening to Chinese topics

I've been thinking or more precisely, dreaming to have a radio:

1. you can listen to via your phones

2. you can press a button in order to listen to the English translation when you heard something but not so sure about what it means...

I know this is really something only existing in dreams. But by any chance, if you have encountered something similar, please give me a shout!

It seems difficult because you would have to start the recording of the word you don't understand before you hear it.

A solution could be to listen to subtitled videos without watching it. If you don't undestand you can rewind and read subtitles.

Another solution is not to listen to the translation and just continue your listening. You will probably get the information again later.

That sounds like an excellent idea.

I would like to be able to "hit rewind" in live conversation. So often when I ask someone to repeat, they rephrase instead. I would really prefer to first have another chance at understanding the original utterance before going to a rephrased version of it.

Subtitled video...I heard that there is some lrc player software available on IPhone which can play mp3 and at the same time show the subtitle. I'm wondering if there is anyone making use of it to develop audio mp3 with subtitle. Guess it would be good for learning.
