MeiTian Posted October 4, 2010 at 09:38 AM Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 at 09:38 AM Ok, I don't know if this is the right place to put this topic, but I just simply can't wait. lol My name is Lily, Meitian is a name my chinese friend gave me. I'm an american student and I'm in the exchange program. The thing is, I've got this chance to go to china and, though I was amazed by so many things. The deep meaning they gave to naming people just blew me! My favorite girls' name so far, (if you don't count my own name!) is 明月. When I know the meaning at first, it sort of blew me. It was so romantic, "The light from the moon". But, of course, my knowledge about Chinese language was, well, not much. And I just want to know about other chinese people's names. So, I just want to know. What are some of the girls names that you just found really romantic. Can you share it with me, please? Thanks! skylee Posted October 27, 2010 at 02:13 PM Report Share Posted October 27, 2010 at 02:13 PM I think 明月 means "bright moon" instead of "The light from the moon", which is 月光. We have a member here whose user name is 秦月, which I find extremely romantic. PS - There is a Hong Kong actor whose name is 周星馳. 星馳 is very romantic IMHO. It is from a poem, but the actor is a guy. I think I find names related to poetry romantic.
