cm1 Posted October 8, 2010 at 10:59 AM Report Posted October 8, 2010 at 10:59 AM I'd like to take flute lessons (Western style flute, not Chinese bamboo flute). Does anyone know of a flute teacher in Beijing? Or suggest how I could go about finding one? I have a flute but am a total beginner. I can, however, play the piano and read music. I'd prefer a Chinese teacher as this would also help me with my Chinese at the same time but this is not essential. Quote
renzhe Posted October 13, 2010 at 11:35 AM Report Posted October 13, 2010 at 11:35 AM Have you tried going to a local university and posting a notice? In Europe, you typically go to a local university and look for a music student willing to teach you. Typically, this is a good start, unless you really are looking for a professional concert career, which I assume you're not. Quote
roddy Posted October 13, 2010 at 12:01 PM Report Posted October 13, 2010 at 12:01 PM Look for wherever the instrument is taught or sold - I guess the Central Conservatory of Music might be a place to start. Quote
