I know, (I've seen that before) which is weird because in Taiwan it is pronounced without a shadow of a doubt as guan1xi1.

Sounds like it is in Singapore too!!

Now when I think about 关系, I'm not so sure that we never use guan1xi4. (Our use of guan1xi1 may be from Taiwanese TV shows...) I'll keep a listen-out.

haha!! ;) Yep, it may come from Taiwanese TV shows, but that's how it's pronounced in Taiwan.. let me know, I'm curious! :D
