Need help with a short newspaper ad in chinese

Hi everyone,

I need to post an ad on a chinese newspaper. I want the ad to say:

Physics graduate student offers private lessons in Italian, French, English, physics or math in exchange for putonghua lessons. Contact number: 0000

This is what i came up with:

物理学研究生提供意大利语，法语，英语，物理或者数学辅导交换普通话辅导。联系电话：0000

I'm especially concerned by the expression 交换: I found it in the dictionary but I have no idea if the way I used it is grammatically correct or if it is even correct to use it in this context.

I'm sure I stuffed the sentence with other mistakes, due to my overall crappy chinese skills. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

I just have a couple of questions about your reply:

- In my initial attempt I tried to use 交换 to translate "in exchange for": was that just plain wrong or simply not idiomatic?

- what's the difference between 辅导 and 家教?

Once again, thanks for the translation, I really appreciate it. If someone could get around to give me insight on the two points above, that would just be gravy.

交換, no error but ambiguous

for example, 留學生交換 means students exchange between different country.

they may thought as you are a student, and you buy a lesson which offers by 物理學研究生, but now you needn't this lesson, and you want to exchange with other student for chinese lesson.

so I suggest that "免學費，只要您教本人中文" or "免學費，只要您相對的教本人中文" for clear meaning.

輔導課: a teacher give her students extra lesson, especial after school time. the teacher & students are the same as school.

補習: a student visit another classroom, where outside school, for another lesson, the teacher is different from his school's.

家教: a teacher visit a student's home for 1 on 1 lesson.

I am a Taiwanese, all mention above are idioms used in Taiwan. I don't know whether the differences used in China.

By the way, I am very interesting to exchange with you, you may see many errors in my English,.... but I live in Taiwan ^_^

I often see 交流 used in this situation. As in 语言交流 (language exchange.)

I'm not a native speaker, but have posted similar ads several times. As a personal footnote, I wouldn't worry too much about wording it perfectly since you are asking for help with your Chinese and your errors will be forgiven. Also you can clarify the fine points with individual respondents later.

"交換" means "相互調換", swap things to each other.

ex: 交換留學生

"交流" means "相互來往，彼此影響", communication and influence with each other.

ex: 文化交流

Now I can finally try and get the ad posted on the local chinese newspaper.

@ abcdefg: you're probably right, I shouldn't worry too much about wording my ad perfectly, but i dont know, I guess it's pretty common to want to make yourself look good in the eyes of total strangers you'll never even meet, it's silly when you think about it, but we humans usually act pretty silly.
