ksl0588 Posted October 24, 2010 at 08:20 AM Report Posted October 24, 2010 at 08:20 AM hey, does anyone know a good place to go fishing? not like the serious sport fishing where you go out in the ocean, just sitting down and waiting for a catch would do. im planning on going on a fishing trip with my friends and we are looking for a place that has a good fishing spot, and will also provide us with the materials we need such as the rod, the lure, etc. and also, a place where we can cook what we catch, or provides different fresh seafood we can choose and have it cooked thanks! anonymoose Posted October 24, 2010 at 12:47 PM Report Posted October 24, 2010 at 12:47 PM The last time I was at the Imperial Palace, people were fishing in the moat round the back. (That was about 10 years ago though.) Quote

Brian US Posted October 25, 2010 at 08:34 AM Report Posted October 25, 2010 at 08:34 AM Is eating fish caught in Beijing a good idea? I wouldn't step foot in a Beijing river if you paid me, let alone eat something from it. Yet, I am a hypocrite as I eat street food and don't question where that comes from. Quote
knadolny Posted October 27, 2010 at 03:13 AM Report Posted October 27, 2010 at 03:13 AM Is eating fish caught in Beijing a good idea? I was thinking the same thing. Try Houhai. When I stayed there I saw people fishing every day in the summer. You probably need to bring your own equipment or haggle with the locals who are there to use theirs. Have fun... Quote
aristotle1990 Posted October 27, 2010 at 03:32 AM Report Posted October 27, 2010 at 03:32 AM Eating stuff grown in the ground in Beijing is a dangerous enough prospect -- you're going to take a chance on the water? Good luck. Quote
Brian US Posted October 27, 2010 at 05:04 AM Report Posted October 27, 2010 at 05:04 AM Try Houhai. Fish found in stagnant water doesn't seem appealing, especially since the last time I saw the lake at Houhai. Quote
