Have you considered that the reason nobody is helping you (still) is because you're so quick to act like a complete prick about some good-natured jokes?

A "good-natured joke" would come from a "good-nature". In this case, "good-nature" would be to help because "helping" is "good-nature".

You did not help in this thread. You just made lame jokes because you saw someone else do it and wanted to be cool. That is not "good-natured".

If you remember (and I'm sure you noticed while you were tallying the people who have posted in your threads), I helped you out in your second thread.

Yes, you did and I thanked you, along with the others who helped me in that thread. But in this thread, after anonymoose made his lame crack, you joined the bandwagon. Unlike him though, who stopped at one crack, your second reply was a second lame crack by acting totally oblivious and claiming you thought it was just a story I wanted to share, despite the fact it's in a translation forum making it obvious that was not the motive for my opening post.

Aside from what I already mentioned, you asked me to do certain things in order for the help to come. I did. I gave my attempt along with specifying what it was I am looking for. You never did reply with any help afterward. Instead, you keep trying to make me out as the bad guy while you play innocent.

That kind of immaturity should stop at grade school.

It seems your definition of "extended tantrum" is me replying to your posts. Apparently, I am supposed to wave a flag of defeat once you came in claimed you never did anything wrong even though the steps you took from the very first post of yours here was all misguided.

Also, where have I insulted you? About the only thing I did was comment on your immaturity here. That is not an insult.

I'm amused too that you wrote that I am acting like a "prick". I'm acting like a prick because I asked you what was the idea behind your lame joke? Then your second reply was another lame joke to which I then asked you to be serious. That is a prick? You then asked me to give my attempt and specify what I need help with, which I did. That's prick behavior?

No. What happened was you wanted to be cool so you followed anonymoose's lead. His lead laid the groundwork for your actions which was never intended to provide help. After I called you twice out on it, you tried to turn the tables and make me the bad guy and continued that mindset for the rest of the thread.

Why can't you reply like a normal person instead of rushing to be a smartass? When I asked my question in the previous thread you replied by just translating what I wrote in English to Chinese. Clearly you were trying to be funny. Then after I asked again with courtesy, you replied by saying you didn't know what a certain phrase meant as it might have been written wrong. You then wrote what phrase it most likely was but didn't translate it. I then checked another source and sure enough it was what you wrote and posted that correction. You never replied again. In fact, you could've just written what that phrase meant the first time when you suggested what it could've been and that would've been all she wrote.

If you asked to be specific and to clarify my source in the other thread, why would you not reply after I did what you asked? And no, you did not answer my question in that thread. You suggested what phrase it could be but did not translate that very phrase even after I confirmed that indeed the phrase you and skylee suggested was that phrase.

Same here. Why didn't you just post the first time, "I'm not sure what you need help with" or something along those lines? Instead, you make a sarcastic comment which only influences OneEye to join the bandwagon and make another lame joke which then snowballs into this.

These key points, which you have ignored in your replies to me, highlight your uncalled for actions. The fact you ignore them in your replies to me proves your guilt.

Also, you have not even bothered to acknowledge post 13, which I have asked you to look at twice which was in response to you commenting on the way I presented my threads. That post detailed the possible case of misunderstanding on my part.

How can you interpret Shelley's post as an attack on you? It's pretty clear that she just did not know what the "subject box" was (it's "topic title", btw); I was confused by the same thing on first reading your post.

I never said that. I said that I interpreted it as joke about making a translation request obvious in a forum that is just about translations. Since that is how I took it, I didn't make anything obvious from that point on since I thought that requesting a translation in a translation forum goes without saying.

Think how much differently this thread would have turned out had you just replied the first time with something like, "I'm sorry, but can you specify what kind of help you need?" (that is giving the benefit of the doubt that you truly did not know what the help that was being requested was about)

Think how much differently the previous thread would have resulted had you just posted the first time that the phrase I posted was not correct AND after suggesting what it most likely is supposed to be, TRANSLATE that very phrase. Or that after I confirmed that it was that phrase, come back to help me.
