Pericles Posted November 5, 2010 at 02:13 PM Report Posted November 5, 2010 at 02:13 PM Greetings, I applied for a 6-month double entry F-visa with 180 days duration of each stay. I was granted a double-entry F-visa with 60 days duration of each stay. I will be living in Beijing as of December. Just to be clear, does this mean that my first entry is used upon initial arrival into China, the second is used on, say, day 59 into Hong Kong and back into China, and then have to exit by day 120, effectively giving me a 4-month double entry F-visa? It appears that, at this time, only 3-month F-visa extensions are available from, say, Beijing LEEO (to be sure, JTA appears to offer 6-month multiple or double, but I would have to leave the country every 30 days which is useless for me). Can I just keep extending for 3 months (or longer if things change) in perpetuity from Beijing (ideal) or Hong Kong (if necessary)? Thoughts and advice appreciated. Best, P. Quote

Hi, Yes, when you first enter China, that is using your first of your 2 (double) enties. So even thouth you got a 6 month Chinese visa, you will never be able to stay in China for 6 months. This is because, you have 60 day stayance, so after 60 days, you depart China for "some where" and return same day for example. Lets just say HK or Vietnam, or S. Korea, all nice and close, also no visa is required for HK or S. Korea, Vietnam is a £30 visa in Nanning. Then this is your second, and final enty into China. Again, you may stay 60 days, then you should (must) depart. So totally, you have used your 2 entries, and stayed here for 120 days totally. I hope that is clear, if you need any more,,,,,,,,,just ask Vette Quote
