New Members terek26 Posted November 22, 2010 at 06:25 AM New Members Report Posted November 22, 2010 at 06:25 AM Hello, I am looking for classes of non-chinese languages in China. Any information or tips would be appreciated : are you aware of any schools or institutes offering classes of Uyghur, Tibetan, Mongolian or Kazakh languages for foreigners? I've searched and all I found was the "Eastern Tibet Training Institute" in Yunnan for Tibetan, but nothing about the others. Thanks in advance. Terek Quote
yonglin Posted November 22, 2010 at 01:47 PM Report Posted November 22, 2010 at 01:47 PM Just because I was just googling this one day, I happen to know that there's a Tibetan program for foreigners at Tibet University. This would seem like the obvious choice if you were to learn Tibetan. link Similarly, Xinjiang University claim to offer degree courses in Uyghur, Kazhak and some other languages, in which foreigners can enroll. link I would first check with the universities in the minority regions that you're interested in. Second, you want to check the "minorities universities" (*民族大学) Quote
