aihaike Posted November 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM Report Posted November 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM Dear all, I've currently a touristic visa (L). I 'm in Beijing with my wife (Chinese citizen). I got a postdoc position, I'm going to get my working permit in order to apply for a working visa (called X I guess). Well, I'm wondering if I have to go back my country (France) to get my new visa from the Chinese Embassy and then get back Beijing or if I can do it here. Thanks in advance, Eric. Quote
tboasis7 Posted December 1, 2010 at 08:56 AM Report Posted December 1, 2010 at 08:56 AM You should have no problems getting your TOURIST visa (L) changed in Beijing, just find a good agent. I'm sure your wife can help you with getting a reliable agent to do it for you. Quote

amandagmu Posted December 1, 2010 at 02:51 PM Report Posted December 1, 2010 at 02:51 PM I think you need an F-visa - X-visa is a long-term student visa. Quote
