Does anyone have any personal experience / recommendations for some free software used for learning Russian and Japanese (but not necessarily the same software for both languages) akin to ZDT?

What I mean, is there a program which has a built in dictionary and flashcard program?

I know Anki can be used for both, but for my learning purposes, I need something very similar to ZDT for pounding info into my head before moving it into Anki for long-term upkeep.
