Alhazred Posted October 29, 2004 at 12:02 PM Report Posted October 29, 2004 at 12:02 PM Here are two interesting links about Nushu, a woman-only script: http://www.ancientscripts.com/nushu.html http://www2.ttcn.ne.jp/~orie/home.htm The first is a brief introduction, but if your curiosity has been aroused, check the second one for a more in-depth analysis. iMm0rTaLBoi Posted April 21, 2005 at 03:19 AM Report Posted April 21, 2005 at 03:19 AM Yea i've seen it too. Its interesting because women were rarely given the opportunity to go to school back then. Therefore, they developed their own language. Kind of like African slaves in America singing spirituals to communicate with each other . Its horrible when any human is denied rights because of race or gender. Quote
PheonixUK Posted May 2, 2005 at 12:04 PM Report Posted May 2, 2005 at 12:04 PM Did poor women use nvshu or any other kind of writing system? Did poor men use nvshu or any other kind of writing system? Quote
Lugubert Posted February 1, 2006 at 07:42 PM Report Posted February 1, 2006 at 07:42 PM Some sources say that nüshu was a secret language that women kept to themselves, others say that men just were'nt interested. Quote
