Could you recommend me something to read?

I recently bought An Ipad and installed Pleco.

I would now like to read novels and short stories.

I'm mainly looking for something which is easy to read,

such as detective stories or sci fi.

Do you have any suggestions?

Check out the Book of the Month sub forum, which doesn't really get much activity, but which does have quite a few good suggestions.

This month it's 圈子圈套, which is about the cut-throat world of sales in the Chinese IT industry. It doesn't fall into the detective or sci-fi genre, but the language is quite simple and I've been enjoying it so far.

For sci-fi, you might consider 球状闪电, which is not bad either.

If you like ghost stories check out http://gui8.com/text/ which has a lot of short stories. I quite like these because they are short enough to finish in one sitting (30 mins to 1 hour) and normally have enough intrigue to keep me reading to the end.

For something a bit longer I just started reading 鬼吹灯 http://www.guichuideng.org/ which is really well written and very funny.
