Hi!

I have recently started to study chinese and I'm learning now how introduce myself. I have two surnames (I'm spaniard) and a very long name and the mix of that with chinese sounds very weird, so I would like to choose a chinese name.

For the family name I like 松 because one of my surnames means "of the pine", it's easy to pronunce and write and it's a real surname.

I have more problems choosing my personal name. I would like to have one related with my real name, Inmaculada. Is 潔/洁 a good option? I have found that 松洁 is the name of a shop of electric materials and sounds like a herb that calm pain, so I'm afraid that 松洁 could sound wrong or weird.

Thank you in advance.

You could also consider 潔兒 or 子純 or 麗貞 as the given name.

PS - and 潔貞 (clean and chaste) too.

Thank you!

I like them, specially 麗貞, but, and this is a cultural question, is not a problem to have 貞 in a name? I ask because in the past the spanish equivalent was very common, but nowadays it's very rare because some people think it's a funny name.

I don't think there is any problem with 貞 in a name. In fact I recalled last night that a long time ago I had a male co-worker called 子貞.
