There is one program that I have used before called ZDT, but sadly it's unstable and very limited in its functions, and no updates in years (probably abandoned). The ZDT subforum wasn't informative, including a post in September asking basically the same thing. http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/28174-are-they-still-working-on-zdt/page__p__226994__hl__zdt__fromsearch__1#comment-226994. That query went unanswered. Anybody know if ZDT is a dead duck or if its author is just taking a break? I sure do like it as a learning tool and would even be willing to buy a paid subscription to contribute to it's maintenance and improvement. Keep using it if it meets your needs, but if you have problems with it don't expect them to be fixed. There are alternatives out there (Anki, Mnemosyne) that are free and still actively developed. EDIT: Oh, and there is a "Donate" button on the project page, but I don't think donating money will do much good.
