cm1 Posted December 11, 2010 at 11:56 AM Report Posted December 11, 2010 at 11:56 AM Does anyone know where I can buy traditional English Christmas cake, mince pies or Christmas pudding in Beijing? So far I've tried Jenny Lou's and the Kempinski Hotel supermarket with no success. It seems there were some around last Christmas but haven't been able to find any this year. Thanks. Quote
889 Posted December 11, 2010 at 12:22 PM Report Posted December 11, 2010 at 12:22 PM I'd call the fancy pastry shops of the fancy Western hotels like the Grand Hyatt (8518 1234, ext. 6362). You might still be a few days too early. Quote
knickherboots Posted December 13, 2010 at 09:10 AM Report Posted December 13, 2010 at 09:10 AM BHG, the supermarket on the basement floor of the Village, has the pudding. Look for the display just inside the entrance. Saying that it's difficult to find a wide range of English Christmas treats in Beijing may be "pudding" it lightly. 1 Quote
