Hey guys, I was just wondering which Chinese actresses do you think are the best looking and the most overrated? I'll start off:

Overrated:

Zhou Xun

Zhang Ziyi

I don't think Zhou Xun is very hot, but Fan Bingbing is definitely hot.

Zhang Ziyi is really hot too, but it seems like a lot of Chinese people don't like her. She must get bashed in the media a lot.

A lot of Chinese people don't seem to like her, as Chinadoog said. I for one don't and neither do many of my friends and relatives from the mainland. However, some of my friends who are overseas Chinese seem to think she's gorgeous.

Where does Fan Bingbing fall?

Oh yes! Can't believe I forgot about her! She epitomises what overrating is all about. I'll add her to my list. But as much as I despise her, she's not ugly.

I forgot about Tang Wei as well, on the good list. She's not only beautiful, but also intelligent in my opinion. Added Li Bingbing as well.

Anybody else find it hard to despise actresses, or form opinions on their intelligence? I still feel bad for being a bit rude about Andy Lau several years back. . .

I don't believe the actresses listed by the OP are overrated; they may get a lot of media attention, but the viewers of their film/TV series know that they are polished dipsticks who can't act.
