kdavid Posted December 28, 2010 at 02:29 PM Report Posted December 28, 2010 at 02:29 PM I'm tired of drinking Nescafe's instant coffee. The taste isn't so bad (after five years of drinking it), but the crash I experience after a cup or two is pretty bad. I don't remember ever crashing from Maxwell House which I drank back home, so I'm looking into getting a coffee marker and some coffee grind off Taobao. Does anyone have any brand recommendations that Taobao offers? Coffee beans would be okay as well, though I'd then need a grinder. Any recommendations appreciated! Quote

This stuff will keep you going and going and going..... 1 Quote
across Posted December 30, 2010 at 02:09 PM Report Posted December 30, 2010 at 02:09 PM I would honestly recommend this. Not sparingly, though. It still gives you the South American cultural aspect that coffee gives you, but with a bit of a NYC twist. Other than that, not sure. Not much of a coffee drinker. So maybe you should take her advice instead. 1 Quote
across Posted December 30, 2010 at 02:32 PM Report Posted December 30, 2010 at 02:32 PM Oh, thanks for the thumbs down. Whoever gave me a thumbs down, I'll at least give you a thumbs up for your awesome sense of humor. High five. 2 Quote
frank the tank Posted January 5, 2011 at 07:03 PM Report Posted January 5, 2011 at 07:03 PM You could invest 1000 RMB in a home espresso machine....that would give you the best results. Or, a french press is easy. Then all you have to do is stroll across to a place like Hamamas once a week and ask to buy some beans from them. I'm sure they would be happy to grind it for you. Not sure how powder like Maxwell House and Nescafe ever got labelled as coffee. 1 Quote
