skylee Posted January 3, 2011 at 01:53 PM Report Posted January 3, 2011 at 01:53 PM I live in Hong Kong. The ways I use are (1) personal cheques (this is very easy and common); (2) transfer money from one account to another via ATM machines or ebanking; (3) Paypal (I have used it to pay for something I bought online in HK, and to pay for a B&B room in Rome); (4) credit card online payment (for all kinds of purchase including air tickets, hotel rooms, softwares, film tickets, books, etc. Even mainland China's websites, e.g. ctrip, elong etc, accept credit card payment.) Things are probably different in Mainland China. Quote
aristotle1990 Posted January 3, 2011 at 06:10 PM Report Posted January 3, 2011 at 06:10 PM The Chinese equivalent of PayPal is 支付宝, which unfortunately does not accept international credit cards. EDIT: Scratch that, apparently they do now... Quote
