silverspooninmouth Posted November 8, 2004 at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 at 07:16 PM How would you translate the word exult into mandarin in pinyin?
Catdiseased Posted November 8, 2004 at 07:31 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 at 07:31 PM I would say jie1 guo3
beirne Posted November 8, 2004 at 08:13 PM Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 at 08:13 PM I would say jie1 guo3 Are you sure about that? The ABC dictionary in Plecodict translates jie1guo3 as "bear fruit". The NWP dictionary in Plecodict translates exult as huan1xin1(gu3wu3) or kuang2xi3. In their sample sentence they don't even use any special words, though: "Ta1 nei4xin1 fei1chang2 gao1xing4" for "Inwardly she exulted"
