can i get calls on my Chinese mobile in the States?

Hi all,

I'm going to States for CNY holiday but I want to make sure people can contact me via my Chinese mobile. Any ideas on how to receive calls on a Chinese mobile while in America? Is is possible?

Strikes me as the kind of situation where we'd need to know your mobile operator and type of SIM card, but you could try phoning your customer service number and asking about international roaming (国际漫游). Or have a look on the website.

With my plan through China Mobile it is prohibitively expensive. Better to use Skype.
