xuezhongwen Posted November 12, 2004 at 05:13 PM Report Posted November 12, 2004 at 05:13 PM A lot of these are JUNK, IMHO. rooted from poor translation, some were from the 'abuse' of Chinese in Japanese and other languages. YES, they are used a lot in bbs, and maybe eventually will stay in the language. Again, that's IMHO... Quote
seagate Posted November 28, 2004 at 02:01 AM Report Posted November 28, 2004 at 02:01 AM This reminds me of a joke about the abuse of English cyber language in real life. In Chinese forums, people use 'nod' to show his agreement with somebody. Once a Chinese student went to the American Embassy to apply for the visa. The visa officer had a dialogue with him: VO: 'so you are going to xx University'? student: 'nod'. VO: 'you got a fellowship'? student: 'nod'. VO: '......'? student: 'nod'. ...... ...... don't know if this guy got the visa finally. Quote
