Overseas Chinese returning to China

Are there any overseas Chinese (2nd generation) that have permanently moved back to China? Or at least decided to live there long term?

If so, what are your thoughts, feelings and experiences? What did your parents think?

I currently live in Australia, and truthfully, I'm considering moving to China in the long term (I'm not so sure about permanently, but at least for several years). If I do decide to move, it won't be for at least a year or two, but I'd like to think about it and hear what other people would have to say.

I know of Chinese American with absolutely no Chinese language background that decided that he wanted to be in China after going on a graduation trip to China. He has a MS in Engineering an got himself a job with an American company in China. He considers himself fluent. He's single and has been living in China for 8+ years. He feels that that working in China is a little easier for a man. His parents let him live his life the way he wants to. He sees flies back to see his parents a few times a year.
