Definitely not standard pu tong hua. I'm trying to compare his accent with all of my friends and see to whose his is closest. Maybe An Hui Province? Arh!!! I'm not good at this..... Quote

New Members TheChinnoo Posted February 16, 2011 at 04:53 AM New Members Report Posted February 16, 2011 at 04:53 AM Are you talking about the portion of the audio starting at 00:50ish? If so, the person being interviewed is 美国西东大学荣誉退休教授杨力宇. I asked my good friend Googled and 杨力宇's of JiangXi descent. His mom is Japanese. He graduated from a university in Taiwan and went to the U.S to pursue his doctorate degree shortly after. So I'm assuming his accent is a mixture of a JiangXi-er and Taiwanese? I could hear a hint of Taiwanese accent, even before looking him up, but I knew he's got some other Chinese local accent mixed in there. Oh I hope I got the right person this time.... Quote
