山中问答

I looked up Li Bai's 山中问答 here

and it displayed this:

问余何意（一作事）栖碧山，笑而不（一作语）答心自闲。

桃花流水窅（一作宛）然去，别有天地非人间。

Anyone know what the words in the brackets mean? I guess they're explaining the poem.. or just a weird typo.

It means that the poem has different versions, with variations of some of the words used.

问余何意（一作事）栖碧山 means that according to some records, it is 问余何意栖碧山, according to others, it is 问余何事栖碧山.

Similarly, the second verse is 笑而不答心自闲 or 笑而不语心自闲.
