Pengyou Posted February 22, 2011 at 03:59 AM Report Share Posted February 22, 2011 at 03:59 AM I have started using the international version of QQ and enjoy the software. It makes it easy for me to connect with my students. I noticed I can open two instances of the software - maybe even 3. Is there any way to make a separate icon for each instance of qq and have that instance of qq remember the qq# and password? I have 2 qq#'s - have lots of students! Related to this...has anyone found a forum related to the English (International) qq? I have googled but not found anything in English. Sky Harbor Posted May 17, 2011 at 11:02 PM Report Share Posted May 17, 2011 at 11:02 PM I presume it's possible, but I haven't tried it yet. But I know that all those QQ windows will share the same settings and preferences, so I also presume that saving the QQ number will not be possible for every instance. The numbers should still be saved though on the drop-down list. The best way though to multitask on QQ, at least for me, is to have both the English and Chinese versions installed. Since they're separate programs, aside from message history, their settings and preferences are separate from each other, which should allow multiple independent instances of QQ to run. chinchillus Posted June 19, 2011 at 11:41 AM Report Share Posted June 19, 2011 at 11:41 AM You can run as many QQ instances as you have enough RAM and band width. On the logging window of QQ, under the username and password input area, there are two check boxes. The first is 记住密码, which means literally "to remember the password" and if checked, the password will be auto typed into the password input box. The second is 自动登录, which means literally "to log on automatically" and if checked, when you start an instance of QQ, you will automatically log on. Since I have only one QQ, I don't know what happens if I check 自动登录 for two or more qq instances and run them all. And here is the download link for English version QQ from Tencent's www.qq.com http://download.digi.tech.qq.com/soft/17/21/45569/index.shtml
