"As far as I can"

Dajia hao,

If a person wanted to ride a bus, but they only had four RMB to reach their destination, how would they say:

"I want to go as far I can on four RMB."

Also how would one say:

"We are almost to Wuhan, but my tank is almost empty. I want to get as

near as I can on one gallon of gas."

Someone said that these phrases couldn't be translated directly into Chinese.

Xiexie.

Yeah, not literally anyway.

But you can put together something like "have four dollars, can go how many sections?"

As X as I can Y = 能 Y 多 X,就 Y 多 X :D

to go as far I can on four RMB

-> 用四塊錢能到多遠,就到多遠

(yong4 si4 kuai4 qian2 neng2 dao4 duo1 yuan3, jiu4 dao4 duo1 yuan3.)

to get as near as I can on one gallon of gas

-> 用一加侖汽油能到多近,就到多近

(yong4 yi1 jia1 lun2 qi4 you2 neng2 dao4 duo1 jin4, jiu4 dao4 duo1 jin4.)

In other contexts -

As far as I know, this is not true. -> 據我所知,這不是真的。

As far as I can recall, this is not true. -> 據我所記得,這不是真的。

As far as I am concerned, this is not true. -> 對我而言,這不是真的。
