nye307 Posted February 26, 2011 at 09:52 AM Report Share Posted February 26, 2011 at 09:52 AM I've recently moved to Dalian, but right before getting here my nexus one was stolen in Hong Kong. The plan was for one of my family members to purchase one in the States and have it shipped here. What we've found out is that it's technically illegal to ship a cell phone (or any transmitting device) to China. However, it's also something that people apparently do all the time. Since the phone has already been purchased and nobody I know in the US is going to be able to use it my take on the situation is why not give it a shot. Does anyone have any tips for doing so? Thanks, Bill
liuzhou Posted February 28, 2011 at 02:09 AM Report Share Posted February 28, 2011 at 02:09 AM Over the years, I've had several cell phones sent from the UK by normal mail. No problems. As ever, I advised my family to describe the package as "teaching materials" on the customs slip.
