gong mo tai Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:41 AM Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 at 08:41 AM Hi All, I have just released a new version. I have been so busy working on the new one that I didn't realise there were some serious problems with the live one. Quite embarrassing, but it is back up and running correctly now. Here are the list of features/changes in the new version: -Custom flashcards -Annotation should now work with characters that aren't found in the word dictionary; by looking in the character dictionary instead -Filtered out most of the squares in Character dictionary Radical/Strokes lookup. -Phonetic Conversion tool now supports converting to pinyin with Tone Marks (previously only supported Tone Numbers) -Articles/Product Reviews page now live. -New online shop added - find some resources for your studies. -Added Chinese Internet TV Links Page Enjoy! gong mo tai Posted April 6, 2011 at 05:18 PM Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 at 05:18 PM Hi All, I have made the final changes to my site. I say final, as I can't justify spending anymore time on it until it starts getting a lot more visitors. As the site is brand new, I guess it'll probably be about a year before things start to pick up and then I may make further improvements at that time. Changes: - Added "Practice Sheet Generator" tool - Added "Character Details" in character dictionary - Several bug fixes and UI improvements NOTE: I have just published the site and have noticed a bug with some of the Chinese IME options. I will have that fixed ASAP - probably a day (or 2 at the most), but overall, when that fix is done, I think you'll be pleased to find that the IME no longer loads data on startup - which means you choose your input method options first and then click the LOAD button to get started. I do hope this is all helpful to some of you. :-) Quote
gong mo tai Posted September 18, 2012 at 12:04 PM Author Report Posted September 18, 2012 at 12:04 PM Hello All, This is an accouncement to say www.zhongwenlearner.com has been completely "revamped"! The UI has changed, many bugs have been fixed and performance has been improved for annotation, dictionary lookups, etc. I hope you all like the changes! Of course there are still all the great tools, like type chinese, type zhuyin, phonetic converter, etc as well and they've been given a new look as well. Enjoy! :-) www.zhongwenlearner.com Quote
