Salary Shanghai - Job entry as foreigner

Hey,

I was wondering if you do have any idea of how much salary I could expect/ask for for a potential job entry in Shanghai (as a German).

The company is a big German multinational with about 50000 employees world wide. The job I was offered is a talent development programm, dealing with several company wide projects (also cross counrty: e.g. india, Japan etc.) for a total duration of at first 2 years. Main residence would be Shanghai. Business fields: from supply chain management to marketing. Furthermore, my contact said that it might be difficult to get a German contract.

In case I would "only" get a chinese contract, what salary can be expected? Are there other conditions that might be tricky regarding chinese contracts? (e.g. holidays etc.)

My qualification:

- international undergraduate (bachelor) program

- apprenticeship at that company for 3 years already before my studies (informal personal contact to responsible business manager in shangai)

- diverse internships at multinational firms (+already internship in shanghai at job-offering firm)

- ...
