Chinese Love Letter: Is this translation correct?

你好！I am writing a letter to my best friend, and I want to translate it into Chinese. I'm currently living in China and he's currently living in South Africa. Could you please take a look at the original English letter and the Chinese translation I have, to see if it's correct? 谢谢你们！

English:

Dear 奥林,

Being apart is both harder and easier than I expected. I’m with people who like me and are like me, but none of them are you. That’s the one thing I hold against them. I need you as a physical part of my life. Without you here, this doesn’t even feel like my life. Reality is when I can touch your skin and know my world exists, because you are my world. Your smile is the sun, and your eyes are the heart of the ocean. If we meet tonight under the moon, kiss my fingertips and tell me that you love me. That you need me, too. I will wait until the rays of the sun shatter my dreaming. What am I to you? What are you to me? I wish I could understand my own heart.

Given the fact that you’re now in China and he’s in South Africa, “being apart” is translated as 天各一方 (being very far apart).

As mentioned above, you’re now in China and he’s in South Africa, I am not sure whether he can make it to China to meet you tonight.

And finally, why being apart is both harder and easier than you expected? You didn't explain this in your letter.
