About halfway through the course, the teacher gave out Chinese names for each of the students, and she gave me the name 潘饶 probably because it sounds close to my name. For this reason, I haven't really accepted it as my Chinese name, since other Chinese friends that I've met have remarked that it is a somewhat unusual name. Recently, I was talking with one of my close Chinese friends about names and he suggested 肖杰龙 as my Chinese name. It does have the advantage of being relatively easy to write. I'm not really well-qualified to judge though, but hopefully the above will give you a couple of pointers. Both 肖 and 潘 are not very popular surnames but not unusual either. 饶 is definitely not very popular for a given name, but anything is possible, you never know. Although i have to say, 萧 is not a usual surname,either. As for '杰龙', both '杰' and '龙' suggest remarmable meanings in Chinese.Therefore,I'm inclined to believe you only need one word '杰' or '龙',rather than two words in your chinese name.
