DurianGris Posted April 3, 2011 at 03:15 PM Report Posted April 3, 2011 at 03:15 PM Hi there, I would like to list characters per tone, which means have a list with all 1st tone character, an other one with second tone and so on. I think it would be much easier to remember tones this way. Any Idea where I can find that, or do it myself? Thanks! Quote
Gharial Posted April 4, 2011 at 04:58 AM Report Posted April 4, 2011 at 04:58 AM I find things like the 'Index of Syllables of Hanyupinyin' in the Han-Ying Cidian (I have the 1978 first edition, as reprinted in the eighties), and now the HSK lists in the recent ABC ECCE (see my review thread of that for links to downloadable lists kindly provided by Mikelove from Pleco), both reasonably useful for such or similar purposes (see e.g. my 'Syllables, tones and graphs: Megamix!' thread), but I'm not sure quite what resources there are online. Hopefully somebody will be able to recommend something. Quote
jbradfor Posted April 4, 2011 at 01:54 PM Report Posted April 4, 2011 at 01:54 PM Not to be a downer, but I don't think you'll find this very useful beyond, say, a couple hundred characters. That said, if you want to do something like this yourself, and you're good at simple scripting, there are several downloadable dictionaries or word lists you could play with. Quote
