sub-title translation

I was asked by a friend of mine to translate a sub-title of her thesis. Here it is

县级政府对企业的监督与支持

My translation

County Government As Supporter and Supervisor of Local Companies

I am not quite familiar with the practice of thesis writing. Am I supposed to use articles in it? Can my translation be made better?

Articles will generally be fewer than in standard writing. What you have there is a fine sub-title. :rolleyes:

I would write "County Government As Supporter and Supervisor of Business". I don't see anything suggesting it is only talking about local companies, so I removed the word local. I also replaced companies with business because I understand 企业 to include things other than companies, for example farms and banks.
