MrZ Posted April 8, 2011 at 01:24 PM Report Posted April 8, 2011 at 01:24 PM Hi folks, i ll be moving to BJ with my wife which hails from that very place. As i just managed to learn a bit pinyin here in Europe i wonder if it would be a smart idea (well it is indeed smart but ... where???) signing up for a half to 1 year chinese intensive courses. As the private schools seem to be a lot heavier on the pricing side, i am considering 1-2 semesters on either BLCU, Beida or any other suitable Uni. Am indeed not a student anymore but seem slike those colleges offer some good teaching in that regards. Any suggestions wether BLCU or like Beida (guess they re pretty much same for 1 year in terms of fees)have a better/different approach to teaching and class sice? Any shed of light is warmly welcome... Thanks y'all Quote
abcdefg Posted April 11, 2011 at 08:26 AM Report Posted April 11, 2011 at 08:26 AM I'm not in Beijing, but I'm guessing the reason nobody else has jumped in is that this question has been asked so very many times before. Suggest you read some of the prior posts. Go to the "Forums" tab at the top of the page, and then hunt down to the Beijing thread under the "Life, Work, Study in China" heading. Alternatively, if you want to try a search, use the search box in the upper left of the page for best results and not the one in the upper right. It searches the forum via Google's engine and is more efficient. That will get you started. Then afterwards, if you have some more specific queries, I'm sure some of the Beijing crowd will help you out. Quote
