seagate Posted November 30, 2004 at 06:10 AM Report Posted November 30, 2004 at 06:10 AM 夏青(Xia Qing), a senior radio announcer of China Central Radio, passed away in July, 2004. As the first generation radio announcer after 1949, he had a strong influence on his younger generation colleagues and hence the public, such that, to some extent, he had become the standard of modern mainland Mandarin. For those interested, the following link gives a brief introduction of Xia Qing and a collection of recording of his Chinese poem recitations. http://www.cnr.cn/home/column/xiaqing/ Quote
florazheng Posted December 25, 2004 at 03:18 AM Report Posted December 25, 2004 at 03:18 AM the name 夏青 rings a bell. I'm not familiar with him. My favorite announcer was 赵忠祥 before. Quote
xuezhongwen Posted January 4, 2005 at 02:05 AM Report Posted January 4, 2005 at 02:05 AM for my generation, 夏青 and 齐越 has probably more influence then 赵忠祥。 still remember 齐越's voice in a novel memorizing '彭德怀' (sorry don't remember the exact name, and can't seem to find it on baidu or google) Quote
