Beijing Student Living Costs

Hi All,

I was wondering if some of you guys and gals who have studied in Beijing in the last few years could shed some light on how much you spend living in Beijing.

Not including Fees and accomdation (as those will be fixed prices).

For example I currently teach in Hunan province and I probably spend 300-400yuan a week on living costs (food, fun etc).

I spent roughly 500-600RMB a week. This covers food, some grocery, internet, cellphone load, transportation smart card, etc. No shopping.

Food costs somewhere 15-25RMB/meal. 10RMB and below for canteen food.
