sambar Posted April 18, 2011 at 04:29 AM Report Posted April 18, 2011 at 04:29 AM Hi there! I'm looking into studying Mandarin for two semesters this upcoming September either at BLCU in Beijing or Fudan University in Shanghai. Does anyone have any experience with learning in Fudan University? I know a few friends who have gone into BLCU, but says that their classes are full of foreigners and they don't get to practice their Mandarin because of it. The advantage of BLCU is that they're famous for their Mandarin course and it seems more structured and well-prepared for foreigners. Also, I've never been to Beijing, only Shanghai once. How is Beijing compared to Shanghai in terms of affordability, food, transportation and modern living? I really liked how Shanghai somewhat reminded me of Hong Kong. Any help would be great! Thank you very much. Quote
