Guest ChonkyStyle Posted April 26, 2011 at 11:51 PM Report Posted April 26, 2011 at 11:51 PM I got this character tattooed onto my back when I was 17 in London. Bad place to get a Chinese tattoo. I don't think it really means anything by itself but was supposed to mean power. What character can I add to it for it to mean something awesome? 豪 + ? or ? + 豪 Quote
aristotle1990 Posted April 27, 2011 at 01:34 AM Report Posted April 27, 2011 at 01:34 AM 豪放, which means "bold and unconstrained" (i.e., badass). 1 Quote
New Members Eric Zhou Posted April 27, 2011 at 01:44 AM New Members Report Posted April 27, 2011 at 01:44 AM 豪放has a little bit derogatory sense in it.It can mean "loose" if you were a girl. I would suggest 豪杰,which means "hero". Or 英豪,meaning hero too. Quote
Hofmann Posted April 27, 2011 at 04:52 AM Report Posted April 27, 2011 at 04:52 AM What's so bad about 豪 alone? It's really difficult for two tattooists to tattoo a character in the same style, especially if they can't read Chinese. 1 Quote
Hugh Posted April 27, 2011 at 08:08 AM Report Posted April 27, 2011 at 08:08 AM I think 豪 alone is fine, too. It means 'heroic', which seems fine for a tattoo. 1 Quote
